Gallery Notes:

Notes from the artsit:

During the 1970s and early 1980s all of my paintings were made with acrylic paint on cotton duck canvas. Painting on the floor [horizontal], standing it up [vertical] and turning it around [concentric], connected my bodily relationship with its making, emphasising things that were simultaneously physical and internally felt in ways that, only for me, the painting could possibly realise.
